PUSH emerged out of a necessity to express my thoughts and feelings towards my own mental health and the unfortunate stigma that surrounds those with mental health disorders. The piece explores various stages of my struggles with depression and anxiety. It is my hope that in writing and performing this music that my personal journey and triumph over some very frightening periods of my life will inspire others to PUSH through their own moments of despair.
